The Centerville Police Department serves the community by protecting citizens and property, preventing crime, enforcing laws, and maintaining order. Our Department’s main goal is to contribute to the quality of life in Centerville and Wayne County.
Goals
One of the goals of the Centerville Police Department is to create and maintain a safe, secure environment for all Centerville and Center Township citizens. We strive to accomplish this goal through proactive community programs designed to prevent crime as well as efficient, thorough investigations of crimes committed.

The Centerville Police Department covers the residential and commercial areas around our Town, including major Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 40.

For a copy of an accident report, please contact the Police Department at 765-855-5222. There is a $5 fee that should be reimbursed to you by your insurance company.
If my keys are locked in my vehicle, can the Centerville Police open my vehicle for me?
No, however, the Police Department will assist you in obtaining the services necessary, such as certified locksmith, to unlock your vehicle.
